Happy Halloween!

We had a fun and successful Halloween this year! Madelyn was Little Red Riding Hood and Ayden was a giraffe. They both did really well and looked cute as can be! After stopping by both "local" grandparents houses, we went to spend time with our friends at the Stewarts house for the 3rd annual Halloween bash! We had Ariel the mermaid, Sebastian the crab, Dorothy, a lion, a hotdog, a ninja, a SWAT member, a queen, a butterfly, a princess, little red riding hood, a giraffe and a bee! :) Here are some pictures of the fun festivities!

Our 6th annual pumpkin patch and carving party!

For the last 6 years, we along with Carly and Brian have gotten together to carve pumpkins. We all go to Gordon's Pumpkin Patch in West Mount Vernon, pick out our pumpkins and take them to our house to carve them up! This is the first year that Madelyn actually had interest in what we were doing and even helped mommy and daddy a little bit. :) This is such a fun tradition that we do with Carly and Brian and we thank them for "helping" us out as much as they do! You guys rock!! :)

Portland Trip to see Julia and Gabe!!

The kids, myself, Grandma Pam and Aunt Carly piled into the car and took a road trip to Portland, Oregon to visit Aunt Julia and Uncle Gabe. On October 21st Julia turns 27 so we went to wish her an early happy birthday and to spend some time in beautiful Portland. We had so much fun going to the farmers market, playing and running around the park, seeing the beautiful rose garden, and of course eating some fantastic food! We even all managed to have some fun in the hotel pool! It was a such a nice weekend to be with family.
Happy Birthday dear Julia, we all love you!!!

So many firsts, so little time!

Ayden is 6 months old and having so many "first moments" it's hard to keep up! He started on solid foods this month and as you can see in the pictures below, big sister Maddy was quick to lend a helping hand! He started saying "ma ma ma" but only when he is mad or sad, which is exactly what Madelyn did! Last weekend he got his 2nd haircut already, and unlike the first haircut he didn't quite "enjoy" the experience, he wasn't too happy about needing to hold still. :) Ayden also had his first big boy bath (no more infant bath tub) and he loves it!! He now weighs 17 pounds 11 oz and is 27 inches long, he is very healthy and is very very happy. Here are some fun cute pictures of our "little milestone man" and of course some big sister pictures as well!

Busy boy on the move....

Our baby boy is moving like a big boy! Ayden is so determined to get to wherever his big sister Madelyn is, he's practically crawling! He prefers to stand rather than sit and can move across the room by army crawling in no time! He keeps us all on our toes and baby proofing the house looks like it will come sooner than we thought!

We went to the park a few weeks back and discovered that Ayden loves to swing, something his big sister is not too fond of! :) Here are some updated pictures to share!
